Hey, I'm Sandra VanSickle!
The owner of Sew What’s New, LLC
I have been in the home furnishings business for more than 40 years. I have had the privilege of working with over 100 talented interior designers and custom home builders. My drapery designs have been on display in over 80 different showhouses and featured in national and local publications, including Better Homes & Garden Kids Rooms, Cary Living, Kids Today, and New Homes & Ideas, to name a few.
Fun fact: If I weren’t doing this job, I would be a fashion designer.
Over the years, I have used my knowledge and experience in fabric, design, fabrication, and training to teach custom drapery methods at national and international conferences. I realized I LOVE TEACHING. But, window covering conferences happen only a few times a year, and not everyone can afford the travel, the babysitter, or the time to attend these conferences. That’s when I had my EUREKA! moment and realized that if I combine my love of teaching with my mad tech skills, I can help you learn from the comfort of your own home.
