A little about me and how I came to be doing this

Greetings!

I'm Sandra V, and my mission is to inspire, educate, and empower individuals within the vibrant world of window fashion. With a wealth of experience spanning almost four decades, I've worn multiple hats as an entrepreneur, educator, and eternal student in this industry.

My journey began with an insatiable love of fabrication, fabric, and design, propelling me to break away from corporate constraints and establish Sew What's New, a haven for custom home furnishings. This venture has allowed me to revel in my expertise in fabrication, fabric, design, and training, providing me with an incredible platform to share my knowledge and connect with others who share the same passion.

When I'm not immersed in creative projects in my studio, you'll find me co-hosting the annual Craft Your Creative Life Retreat alongside my talented business partner, Sharon Gregory. This retreat is a unique combination of sewing, business insights, and wellness strategies, offering attendees the opportunity to step back, rejuvenate, and learn from hands-on classes, all while reinvigorating the balance in their lives and setting goals for their future selves.

In my current role as the Director of the Artisan Atelier for the International Window Coverings Expo (IWCE), I lead educational sessions tailored specifically for the workroom and upholstery sectors. It's a space where I'm dedicated to imparting knowledge and fostering growth within this specialized niche of the industry.

Driven by an unwavering passion for teaching and an infectious enthusiasm, I am wholeheartedly committed to sharing my expertise. I am thrilled at the thought of having you join me on this remarkable journey of learning and collaboration.
